2010 DC Cherry Blossom Weekend Recap | Eleven WSA members gathered in our Nation's Capital April 2-4 under the auspices of the newly formed WSA Travel Club. Friday evening we created our own happy hour in the hotel lobby and got to know one another before heading out for dinner. | | | On Saturday morning, we joined the throngs viewing the spectacular cherry blossoms near the Washington Monument and Jefferson Memorial, then ate crab cake sandwiches on the Washington waterfront and rested our feet before heading off for an afternoon of Smithsonian Museum-hopping. | | We continued our camaraderie over a Vietnamese dinner before calling it a day. On Easter Sunday, some of us attended services at the magnificent Washington National Cathedral. Throughout the weekend the weather and company were delightful, and we were pleased to welcome several new WSA members who traveled some distance to attend their first WSA event. | |
