Taking care of wounded warriors is an important part of the Army's mission. The Army Wounded Warrior Program (AW2) is the official U.S. Army program that assists and advocates for severely wounded, ill, and injured Soldiers, Veterans, and their Families, wherever they are located, for as long as it takes. AW2 provides individualized support to this unique population of Soldiers, who were injured or became ill during their service in Overseas Contingency Operations since 9/11.

My name is Carl Cronk, 5803 Ambassador Drive, Apt. 1, Saginaw, MI 48603. Phone number is 989-799-0385. Email is cmcronk74@sbcglobal.net. I have been a Veterans Service Officer since 1966. I am a U.S. Army Ambassador for the Pentagon Freedom Team.
I can assist spouses with scholarships, survivors’ benefits, financial help if their spouse is deployed to the war. If their family member is wounded in the war and is in Walter Reed Hospital, I can get them free plane tickets and a place to stay to go and visit them.
I can help with finding a job if they need one. If they are in need of counseling for post traumatic stress, I can do that with an organization that I helped put together called Give an Hour. There is nothing that the spouses cannot ask me to help with. I literally take care of all military and veterans’ spouses in the world.

Did You Know . . .

Fact: The WSA...

Note: For 21 years an annual supporting membership, including a subscription to Mainstay and other benefits was $25.  Recently, the WSA Board voted to raise that cost by $5 to $30 in the U.S. and $35 elsewhere in North America. Overseas, Mainstay will only be available elecronically, in the members' area. Had we kept up to inflation the cost today would be $43.50.

is the only national organization focusing exclusively on the needs of all spouses caring for a chronically ill and/or disabled husband, wife, or partner.  Let others in the Well Spouse Association who have “been there and done that” help you face the challenges of long-term caregiving.

Playing the Canada Card:

an American Caregiver's Experience

My husband John’s disease erupted like fireworks in the afternoon of my New Year’s Eve birthday seven years ago. I went out for the afternoon and returned home to find a stranger who only looked like John, talking gibberish and tearing our house apart at the seams. The siege lasted 16 hours.I thought of survival, not of Canada. As it turned out, survival and Canada would become one and the same.
