Just noticed that someone else is having this issue too.

So far, I've only noticed it on Kitty's one post about her aide breaking her wrist.

I have had the same issue and cannot read Kroney's post "Why can't he..." This just started a few days ago. The problem is selective...

I have the problem on Kitty's posts - the one about writing, and the other about the aide. I hit the refresh function, with no resolution.

Other than that fix, I am functionally computer illiterate.

Narrowing the gray column on the left or eliminating it would make things better here but I don't think it would solve the new shifting problem.

Just thought I's slip in a old gripe. :(

I'm noticing it in kitty's posts too. First I noticed it was when she posted in my Fantasies thread. I reported it to Larry and he notified Richard, so I'm sure it will be fixed soon.

I tried to answer kitty's new thread just now and had the same problem. Couldn't see the submit button. I wonder if it has to do with her use of the periods? In any event, Kitty, we have got to get that space bar fixed for you! I don't know how you can type like that. It would drive me nuts if I wasn't already!

Kitty,

Have you tried turning the keyboard over and shaking it good. Sometimes giving a good whack helps loosen the crumbs that breed in there.

If that doesn't work, I'd try a can of compressed air to blow things loose before you spend the $$$ on a technician. It would probably cost less to just buy a new keyboard to plug in where the old one is.

Best of luck on the repairs.

Kronberg:

I suspect you touched on the problem. I have found in other things that when a line can not wrap (using the spaces) then it just extends and extends. Previously I noticed it somewhere with long URLs.

Kitty:

May using up to ten words like you are doing and then hitting enter to get to the next line will help. That will allow things to go to the next line until your space bar gets fixed. Where I saw this happen before (another website), once it happened on a page it stayed that way for the whole page and not just the one post.

Pretend you are writing poetry.
FIS died 9/1/08. It was her CHF, COPD, and Atrial Fibrulation that hospitalized her the last time. Both WS and FIS are women who retired in 1997 and had lived together almost 19 years.

{{{{kitty}}}}

As if you aren't having ENOUGH computer problems!

The only threads I notice this phenomenon on are the threads you've started, kitty. Perhaps others see something different????

I have to wonder if it's because you're using your . as a space bar and the lines can't wrap correctly????? Which I know you can't do anything about. :(

Sunshine has the best idea, I think. She's a very wise gal. ;)

So sorry, dear one.
