How do you edit or delete posts?

Just wondering how to do this.

Sometimes I'd like to refine a post or even delete it but I don't see an edit or delete button.

You don't see and 'edit' or 'delete' button because (unless you're a moderator) there isn't one. We do not have that functionality. But we do have very caring moderators who will edit or delete a post for you if you request it. I know this because I have asked them to help me previously.

You can edit your post as often or as much as you like using the 'preview' button before what you write is actually posted. Once it's posted, however, only the mods can edit it.

The problem with 'preview' for many I suspect is that we navigate away from the page after having read our post in preview, erroneously believing we've hit 'submit'. Unless you go back and hit 'submit', the post ends up in the etherworld. (Wouldn't it be easy if we could find lost socks that way? )
