Re: Add your comments questions on the new Layout here! The new gray/white background is like fluorescent light, while the old pale yellow was like incandescent or candlelight--easier on my eyes.
Re: Add your comments questions on the new Layout here!Dave the Rave,
I'm using Firefox as my browser and I am able to zoom in and make the font larger (not that I'm finding I need too.)Try ctrl++ and see if it will zoom in. Possibly my browser again but what appears to be red to others seems to be a nice dark brown on my screen. Richard,
The font size change option is still with us. Click on the little down arrow by the word normal and a drop down menu appears for the different sizes. Eric I am (61) FWS. Re: Add your comments questions on the new Layout here!
Heh, I just noticed that IE does indeed have a zoom feature in the lower right-hand corner. And Ctrl+ and Ctrl- work as well. Thanks! 49 year old WS; IS is 53 and has SPMS and now lives in a nursing home
Re: Add your comments questions on the new Layout here!
You heard me! Thanks! Gracias! Merci beaucoup!
Re: Add your comments questions on the new Layout here!I didn't see this thread before posting a new thread about not being able to get to the Home Page from the picture at the top of the page. I believe that is what Dave the Rave was talking about.
Right now I see a soft yellow background and I like it. The Post Box is still white. I prefer yellow. Eric: Maybe a change was made since your post, on my monitor now (Sunday eve) the grey on each side of the posts is only 1/2 inch or so. FIS died 9/1/08. It was her CHF, COPD, and Atrial Fibrulation that hospitalized her the last time. Both WS and FIS are women who retired in 1997 and had lived together almost 19 years.
Re: Add your comments questions on the new Layout here!Oh yes -- Would a moderator please move my post from the "How Do I ..." thread to here. This seems a better place.

Re: Add your comments questions on the new Layout here!I believe Ron has been reading your comments, and making adjustments to, and finetuning the new layout.
He has been quite responsive -- widening the text box, toning down the too-bright white, and replacing it with yellow for reading posts. I see a few comments approving of the more muted colors. Text size is bigger... but Dave the Rave, using Opera, was finding it too small -- is that still true, Dave? A workaround is to use Control and the + plus sign to make it bigger. But that's in IE7 or 8, I don't know about Opera, Safari, or Firefox/Mozilla. I'd appreciate more suggestions, also confirmation from those of you who identified a problem to say it has been fixed! Thanks, Richard P.S. to Sunshine. I didn't move your post because I paraphrased it in my post on page 1 of this thread. Richard, WSA Pres. 05-09. Mantra: WIT - Whatever It Takes! Re: Add your comments questions on the new Layout here!Oh, the soft yellow is so great for old eyes to read.
Thank you, Ron!!
Re: Add your comments questions on the new Layout here!I haven't chimed in because others have been voicing my concerns. It's looking better, easier to read.
My son does this for a living, and I can imagine him rolling his eyes and saying, "Blah, blah, blah...complain, complain..." Thanks for your patience with all of us, Ron. IS 51, WS 46, Full time caregiver since 1999, Progressive MS.
Re: Add your comments questions on the new Layout here!Gee, when did this happen? Don't want to be a party pooper, but I don't like it as well as the former format! The text print is too light and too fine for me, or am I missing something or should I adjust something?

Re: Add your comments questions on the new Layout here!
Thanks to Ron for the improvements. Glad the red is gone. Either I'm getting used to the text or it's a bit larger. Unfortunately, the text size is still locked in IE. Eric pointed out that IE, like Opera, has an option to zoom in or out (the Control and the plus or minus key, as you just stated). However, there is value in using IE's feature to only increase the size of the text; this way the rest of the page is still rendered properly. Otherwise, some things don't line up and one might need to use the mouse to scroll left and right to reveal the whole width of the window. The main site has the same problem. I'm not a web page designer, but it as if an attribute that would otherwise grant the user the ability to change text size only (keeping everything else intact) is "locked." And a minor thing: While the gray in between the yellow/beige helps to break up the posts, it is only one line high. So, that's good for folks like me with a one-line sig, but it looks funny otherwise. Still, all in all, much better! 49 year old WS; IS is 53 and has SPMS and now lives in a nursing home
