a chat friend sent me this site. i come here everyday, i don't always post but i read everyone elses. when i think i'm losing my mind or just feel the stress is more than i can take i come here to calm down. as dumb as that may sound it really does help. IS is the most loving person i know and has never once said or done anything unkind to me. i know we all have struggles with our daily lives and i don't want to sound like i have no problems but it helps me to read about everyone elses daily situations. may we all find that light at the end of the tunnel and soon.

I don't know if I am doing this right or not. This is my first time ever. I have read some quotes, and I know I am at the right place. I have allot in common with most of you.

Welcome, ci9766. This is a great place to vent and get feedback. Hint: you'll get more responses if you use categories other than testing.

Welcome all...

Nora, even if your Ill Spouse (IS) is the "sweetest person" it still makes it difficult for both partners to cope when chronic illness or disability gets going in a marriage.

Everyone, I'm glad you found us, I guarantee you will find relief just in talking about your situation.

Now that you've successfully posted, just pick a topic area that seems appropriate and tell us more.

Some days I'm just to tired to post! I do try to get here everyday and read the Forums though. It helps more than I can say just knowing there are others out there reaching out to ppl they don't even know and helping to make their day a little brighter. That my friends is what you do for me. Thank you. :)

trying a post

Postby cwarren154 » Tue Mar 07, 2006 12:23 am

Hi Everyone,

This is my first time to this forum and I'm hoping it will help. My husband was diagnosed with chronic lymphocitic leukemia in May of 1997. He has had numerous rounds of chemotherapy and remissions which keep getting shorter and shorter. This past year he had lots of complications and is just going downhill. I'm watching him slip away little by little and I feel so helpless. Also get resentful at times because there is so much we wanted to see and do and he just doesn't stay well long enough or have the energy anymore.

So I thought I would give this a try. I do try to take good care of myself and have lots of friends - good support. It still gets me down sometimes.

Thanks for listening.

Hi C,

You will receive tons of support on this site. It has been a life saver for me; at least emotionally.

Feel free to vent, share with us on our posts and post new ones for yourself.

You are in my thoughts and prayers. It sounds like you and your husband have been through alot. And there is ongoing grief for what once was and what the future may bring.

Hugs,
Barb
My IS has liver failure and esophageal cancer. We live one day at a time and love life to its fullest.
