A little bird told me the 'view your posts' button was not functioning properly.

I believe it does not work on posts from any date prior to the 12th.

Larry, it's working for me. For another post I wanted to check when I first posted here. I got this result two days ago and just a minute ago:

Post subject: The Second Time AroundPosted: Wed Aug 25, 2010 2:22 pm

I was that "little bird," and the thing that keeps happening is, yes it finds a whole lot of posts that I did going all the way back, but --

Before, material quoted from the actual post was displayed, and you could click and go to that post and read what you wrote.

Now, I just get a big long list of thread topics, and buried in each one, somewhere, is my post. I have to hunt around for it, which gets harder and harder as the number of pages on a topic mounts.

Note that "View your posts" is right next to "View new posts". If you click the latter, you will only get one or two days back -- since the last time you logged in. It is also easy to confuse the two and click on the wrong one.

Is it the same for others?

Richard,

It's now exactly as you described it, and exactly the same in your UCP (show your posts). All the threads....with the entire thread listed.

I have found that the Search capability appears to be the same as it was, however.

And in my unmoderated view, View new posts is right next to View your posts.

(FWIW, viewing my own posts only reminds me of my poor grammar and spelling, so I never 'go there' )

Same here, Richard. I didn't use the Forum enough before the big change to notice "View your posts" took you to your own post, not to the thread your post is located in.

I'm pretty sure, though, that phpBB allows you as the moderator/chief honcho to go back to that way of presenting results. I'll check with my buddy who is an expert in phpBB and see how to do that.
