hi
tried again this a.m. same problem. I can see the headers for my old posts but can not view the actual post or any replies. if someone made a recent reply, I'll never know it.
same for any post in any forum. anything older than 11/12/10 is not viewable, so you can not read actual posts from only a couple of days ago or the replies.
you can only get into stuff that has activities since 11/12.

Re: just testingto clarify. if click on "view active topics", same thing. anything older than 11/12 can't be viewed. youcan see the header but not the actual post or replies. click on it and I get the same "there are not active posts for that time frame selected" message.
doesn't matter how try to access the forums. same thing happens if I use the drop down menu to jump around. on my log in page only it shows anything that hasn't been used since 11/12 as archived and locked. I can not really respond to your query because I don't get around using those links. What I do when I come into the Forum is look for Forums that show there have been new posts (the color of the icon in front of the Forum is different). Then I click on a Forum with new posts and find a thread that has new posts. When I click on the icon in front of the thread it takes me to posts I haven't read. This is how I used to get on before the move to the new server and it is still my preferred method. It works for me. Richard: It seems to me I had that happen once. I had decided to try one of those "view" links and it didn't take me to the individual post like I remember it doing (although I used that feature rarely). How come the moderators are using new names now? FIS died 9/1/08. It was her CHF, COPD, and Atrial Fibrulation that hospitalized her the last time. Both WS and FIS are women who retired in 1997 and had lived together almost 19 years.
Re: just testingI agree with Sunshine. I am having no problem because I go directly to the forum without using those jump around links. I simply see which squares are red next to each thread, decide if I want to read them and then go to them. I also mark any remaining topics as 'read' everytime I come onto the Forums - there is no problem using them this way!
This changeover is still a work in progress. I understand it is frustrating but we are using volunteers to upgrade in an effort to save thousands of dollars - and we owe them a debt of gratiotude. Be thankful the thornbushes have roses!

Re: just testingI just clicked on "View active topics" and it went back as far as one week.
But to see posts older than that, you need to go to individual threads and scroll back in each one, one by one. Richard, WSA Pres. 05-09. Mantra: WIT - Whatever It Takes! Re: just testingTesting.....my goodness....I think I'm in. Thanks for all your help Richard and for the countless hours you and Ron have given to updating and improving the website. I think after all the frustration that's been experienced here the past few weeks, it's all starting to come together.
Re: just testingLast night at 11:59 I was SCIwife. This morning I am ndchilly.
I did not change anything yet says I joined Jan 8th. I went to the main page and it logged on. How can I be sciwife again or do I have to start over with ndchilly? I do not want this.
Re: just testingOh no, SCI! I do not want this either!
I sure hope we're not going to have to learn new names for everyone. MS dx in '86 while expecting WC3; WC4 followed while in optimistic denial promoted by MS Society.
IS currently bed/wc bound; limited use of only one hand; self caths; still in denial enabled by cognitive decline.
