FIS died 9/1/08. It was her CHF, COPD, and Atrial Fibrulation that hospitalized her the last time. Both WS and FIS are women who retired in 1997 and had lived together almost 19 years.
Re: First PostLoved Rotton's post. I'm a Lawn guyland gal--south shore-- but have of course been all over the Island. Adventureland, of course. One of my sons graduated from SUNY Stony Brook. Love the 110 mall (Walt Whitman) And yes, whenever I go back to NY, a few times a year, my first request are for "real" bagels, pizza and Chinese food.

I just saw your post, on ''luckynerd's'' thread and wanted to say hello! Hoping you find the comfort and strength you need, from this wonderful group of people here! Sorry your life did lead you here, but again, you won't find a better place to land, when you feel overwhelmed! WS:61/FIS died at age 60yrs -Quadriplegic since age 15. Died July 18, 2010 from heart/lung failure, due to Pseudomonas Kidney Infection; Septicemia (Antibiotic-Resistant). ~~My heart is so broken.....

MS dx in '86 while expecting WC3; WC4 followed while in optimistic denial promoted by MS Society.
IS currently bed/wc bound; limited use of only one hand; self caths; still in denial enabled by cognitive decline.
