:D I came across your info about the conference and all of a sudden I really wanted to go. I had it marked on my calendar but had given up. Well......I have registered with WSA and the hotel and I am going to be able to come.
I am borrowing my son-in-laws hybrid car and driving myself. My brother lives in Stevensville so I will spend some time with them also....makes driving okay because I am not driving to and from within such a short time.
I am a little anxious and very excited.

I am really looking forward to the conference. It means so much to me. I know many other people enjoy it also. I am now on the board and I would like to encourage others to get involved with the organization. You can start by becoming a volunteer and learning how the organization works and then get to know the one of the board members and learn how WSA operates. Each person brings there own skills and abilities to the organization. When you have the knowledge of the organization you may also want to become a member of the board and volunteer on a committee doing the work of the WSA. It is rewarding to be a part of the organization that means so much to all of us.

I have posted an invitation on the getting together site because I am driving from Atlanta and would pick anyone up if they need a ride. I am not going home directly, but part of one way may help somebody. I am soooooo excited!

I keep eying the information on the conference and wonering if I can make it. I even called an airline where I have a voiucher and a zillion miles and it is feasible. My husband has melanoma with brain metastasis and we recently found a new enlarged lymph node. It is so hard to make future plans with a spouse who is constantly on the verge of a crisis. By the end of this week I wil have more information iif he is heading back to surgery, or starting a clinical tril or what is in store for us, but all that can change in a minute anyway. I hope if it turns out I can come at the last minute that I can get a flight and hotel room. My first real involvement with Well Spouses was at Tyler State Park last weekend and I loved it! I want very much to come to Chicago and if there is a chance I can come, I'll be there!

LippyLuLu,

I encourage you to make your plans and go to the convention. It is a very rewarding experience. You meet the greatest people there and the topics of the sessions are right on point. Also, this year there will be side trips for all of us to enjoy. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at the conference. That includes old friends and new ones.
