Welcome to our new upgraded forum!
We have been working on this for quite a while and am very pleased with the results. I am very excited by the new software and its new administrative features that will hopefully make my job a whole lot less work and a lot more fun.
You might notice a few new user features on the site:
Avatars -- this is the little photo next to my post. You are currently able to upload your own 80x80 avatar to your profile that will show up with all your posts. If you would like to contribute to our forum gallery of avatars that other users can choose from, please send them to me at forumadmin@wellspouse.org and I will upload them for public use.
You can now change your password and user information without your account locking out.
You can now, if you enable it in your profile, use AIM to chat with other users who are currently on the board. Wow! A real (text, talk or video, if you have it) conversation!!!
A new section in the Getting Together Forum for ways of getting together in person
If you find anything that you think is odd or needs fixing, please let me know asap so that I can deal with it. Contacting me by email is best: forumadmin@wellspouse.org
Please also post your comments and questions regarding the new software in the Q&S forum.
We hope you will find it full of new, exciting features, with the same old community of friends as before -- the same familiar friends in a bright, welcoming, newly-renovated living room.
The new forum and it's upgrade has increased the monthly costs for hosting the forum. We are glad to still be able to provide it free of cost to all Wellspouses and hope that you enjoy it and find some support and care here.
If you love the forum and would like to recognize the Wellspouse Association as providing a useful and important service, please consider making a donation in support of continuing free and public access to the forum for all Wellspouses. You may make a secure donation on our website at:
https://secure.stardonor.com/giveto/HHS/36-3651073.html
Please indicate the reason for donation by choosing "split" in the purpose of contribution field, and "forum" in the comments section.
I am so grateful to all of you for making the Wellspouse Online Community the amazing, supportive, and warm place that it is.
Enjoy your new home, Wellspouses!
Oh and by the way, Happy 100,000th post!!!! I feel honoured to be able to be the one to post it.

Re: Forum Upgrade -- Happy 100,000th Birthday!!!Congrads on the new look and features.
I know this is a lot of work and I appreciate all that goes into it. Sorry however, I can't read the type face, its a little small and the style is hard for me to read. I don't mean to complain.....but. I 'm 64 and my wife had a severe cerebral aneurysm in 2001 leaving her wheelchair bound with aphasia and hemiplegia.
Re: Forum Upgrade -- Happy 100,000th Birthday!!!Everything looks great! However, I have to agree that the Script typeface
is impossible to read. WS FOR 30+ YRS., IS WITH PPMS
Re: Forum Upgrade -- Happy 100,000th Birthday!!!Very cool Erin! It was worth the wait! Thank you for your hard work in making this happen!

Re: Forum Upgrade -- Happy 100,000th Birthday!!!Very cool! I like the color strip to the right... I'll play with it for a bit... let's see...
Yes the type font is very tiny and hard to read. Hopefully that is an easy fix. PEACE
Re: Forum Upgrade -- Happy 100,000th Birthday!!!Erin, I love the new site. Thanks for providing this for us.
hugs noodle I'm 50. My IS was 62 when he died 10/08 of Blastomycosis infection in lungs (immune suppression/steroids). Had been power wheelchair-bound with degenerative nerve disease (CIDP), minimal use of hands, extreme pain for 9 years, yet had the best laugh.
Re: Forum Upgrade -- Happy 100,000th Birthday!!!Good job Erin! It is interesting how different we are from one another. I like the new typeface -- but not let that stop you from making it easier to read for others.
I like the colors and, so far, since this is the first post I have read, I like the way the software works. FIS died 9/1/08. It was her CHF, COPD, and Atrial Fibrulation that hospitalized her the last time. Both WS and FIS are women who retired in 1997 and had lived together almost 19 years.
Re: Forum Upgrade -- Happy 100,000th Birthday!!!Now that I have posted I know what people are talking about when they say they can not read the script. It is the script on the screen after I post. I can't read it either and, because of that, it is confusing where I want to go next even though the options seem to be in the same position as before.
