Hello Everyone:
Here's an update on developments in the Well Spouse Association.
1. Revised website: As of Sept. 1, 2006 we have a newly-revised website. The URL address is the same:
http://www.wellspouse.org/
The look is very different, and using the same header and left-side bar on every page vastly improves the ease of navigation. In the next few months we will be adding to the content in several ways, including more contributions from WSA members and Forum members, partial reprinting of Maggie Strong's Mainstay the book, selected articles from Mainstay the quarterly newsletter that members receive, and news on WSA activities.
2. Join online and/or donate: Now you can go online and pay by credit card to become a member of the WSA and/or donate to help the work of the WSA, here:
http://www.wellspouse.org/docs/onlinereg1.html
We are nearly an all-volunteer organization, but we do have paid office staff who answer letters, EMs, and phone calls from all over -- and believe me, they listen to many, many heart-rending stories, and who assist in outreach campaigns to the millions of spousal caregivers.
3. The annual WSA Conference will be held this year, Oct. 20-22 in White Plains, NY. See here for more details and a registration form (early registration rate until Sept. 8th):

4. We are looking for more members for the WSA Board --WSA members who know how much the organization helped them when they first came in contact with it, and who are passionate about helping other spousal caregivers, and feel they are in a position to commit to volunteer their time and energy to further the mission of the WSA.
